Fear The Jungle

                                                                   The Jungle
When you are low level playing the game, the jungle might not seem that important to you and that is fine. The jungle is between each of the three lanes, containing mutual monsters. As Arzenal said "I found better ways about jungling. Whether it's through runes, masteries, or builds."(Arzenal,2012) Like Arzenal said, runes, masteries, and builds effect how well you perform in the jungle. Low level accounts usually do not jungle until they get to a higher level due to the lack of masteries some champions require to jungle.  As you gain levels towards the max level, 30, you will see just how having someone on your team go jungle will make it more efficient for you and your team.

In the jungle, there are six camp sites where monsters spawn. Each team, purple side and blue side, have their own set of camp sites and mirror the opposite side of the map. The jungle and its monsters is made for one of your teammates to kill to gain experience and gold, keeping up with the three lanes. The jungler is suppose to carry a summoner spell called Smite, which deals 490 damage at level one and scales up as the champion levels during your game. This is efficient for the game because one lane can have one person obtaining the full experience of killing minions. Also, the extra solo lane will be able to try to last hit all the minions, instead of two people trying to last hit them. (Killing minions and obtaining the gold from killing them is called farming.)

Besides farming the jungle, the jungler has one other important job, which is to gank lanes. Ganking is when your jungler ambushes one of the three lanes, attempting to assist you or your team members get a kill off the opponent. The point in doing this is to benefit your team, whether it is getting a kill or two, forcing the enemy to waste their summoner skills, or forcing your opponent to leave lane therefore missing out on experience and potential minions they could be obtaining gold from. Forcing the opponent to burn summoner spells could benefit the lane a lot because the cool down for the summoner spells are usually three to five minutes long. Also, having a jungler could cause your opponents to be worried at all times, not knowing where the jungler is could cause them to die.

Two monsters in the jungle on each side of the map contain buffs that are very beneficial to the holder. There is a red buff, held by a lizard monster, which allows the holder to slow an enemy if they attack with basic attacks and deals small amount of damage over time. Then there is blue buff, held by the golem monster, which allows the holder to have faster mana regeneration and 20% cool down on spells. Another job for a jungler is to control these buffs. Whether it is stopping the enemy from stealing your team's buffs or decide to take or give one of your teammates the buff.

A jungler is a very important role in the game. Having one will give your team many benefits, enhancing your chances of winning. Being the jungler isn't as easy as it seems, you will have times where you have to make rash decisions and the outcome could be beneficial or a great set back. Junglers are an important aspect to the game.

What is your experience with junglers or the jungle?
Have you had experience with the jungle?
